The Description Tool (Ctrl+D or F2) can append text description to the current photograph (or all selected images).
Photograph's description is stored in a Unicode format inside the JPEG file. This text description is displayed in a preview pane and in a viewer window. One can also filter loaded photographs based on the keywords stored in this description.
To facilitate describing many photographs Next and Previous buttons switch to the next/previous image.
Note: Description can also by applied to multiple images at once. If multiple images are selected before entering this tool the same description will be stored in all of them upon pressing ‘OK’ button.
Technical note: description is stored in a COM(ment) marker inside JPEG file in UTF-8 (Unicode encoding) format.
